Surviving the Great Central Road Nightmare
A Desert Odyssey | Road Trip Chronicles
🚗 Embark on an unforgettable journey with us as we share the harrowing tale of our road trip from Yulara to Leonora along the treacherous Great Central Road. Join us as we faced unexpected challenges, conquered the unforgiving desert, and discovered the true meaning of resilience.
🌵 Day 1: Yulara to Warakurna Roadhouse
Our adventure kicked off with a flat tire and a dead battery, but against all odds, we pushed through and made it to Warakurna Roadhouse, a remote oasis in the heart of the Australian outback.
🔧 Day 2: Warakurna to Warburton Roadhouse
Just when we thought the worst was behind us, we discovered a nail in one of our tires. Stranded in the vast desert, a hero from the roadhouse staff came to our rescue, fixing the tire and giving us a renewed sense of hope.
⏳ Day 3: Stranded in the Desert
With assistance days away, we braved the isolation of the desert at Tjukayirla Roadhouse, battling scorching temperatures of 47 degrees. Our endurance was put to the test, but our determination prevailed.
🌅 Day 4: Tjukayirla to Menzies
Rising with the sun, we continued our journey, passing through Leonora and finally finding solace at Menzies Caravan Park. It was here that we took a much-needed break, reflecting on the challenges that shaped our expedition.
🛌 Relaxation and Reflection in Menzies
Explore the quaint Menzies with us as we take a breather, relishing in the security of a peaceful oasis. Our time here allowed us to decompress and assess the incredible journey we had just navigated.

We Ibanese in Sarawak still used 'soldadu' in our Iban language. We pronounced it 'sedadu'
I didn't realize Malay language use so many words from Portuguese language. This is good info. Saving it
Some of those words were actually borrowed from Malay by the Portuguese (e.g. nenas)
Teringin pula hendak belajar bahasa portugis
The malay Portuguese and the Portuguese speaking people in Malacca is similar to the Brazilian Portuguese
Should take at least on Malay from Malacca to be the panel. The interpretation is more accurate. I am from Malacca and I know what is tinta and terigu and renda (lace).
Pita= melayu Pintal.
Tinta dakwat lah, bukan cat! Almak. 16:28
Memng ada Terigu. Mak saya buat bubur trigu.
Only been in Portugal twice. The Algarve and Lisbon. I loved it. The people were lovely, the food was delicious. I think its my favourite European country.

Nice Video...we were over in New Zealand to visit daughter and spent 3 weeks in a self contained juicy Toyota HiAce camper van and loved it and our middle seat heated up...😉 We found on the west coast of the south island we mainly stayed at campsites booked via camper mate and the east coast we stayed in a lot of freedom campsite or DOC sites, but compared to Scotland (UK) the camping is great....daughter is currently over on the south island working / travelling and purchased something like the L300 (not sure what she paid for it)....😊
Good bye and come again...so many memories in malaysia..

if you are still looking for Portuguese .. eu acho e bom q voces visitar - Dublin in Ireland!
Church of Visitation was built in 1848 by French missionary. I am not sure why board says 1885. In about 5 or 7 years ago... just beneath the Virgin Mary statue (in grotto) ( which used to have baby Jesus -was removed) the year 1848 used to appear. The so-called lake in the middle used to house the famous Comvent of HIJ school which was built in 1904 and Irish-Catholic nuns ran the school until it was bought over by local developers and demolished in 1997 By some curse or other the developers were not able to build the mall there and has remained as a"lake". Best wishes, Msia.
Seja bem vinda ao Brasil 🇧🇷 meus parabens pelo video abraços a todos.
Proud to be Malay son. 🇲🇾
